Matt Rife brings his stand-up comedy to FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee on January 9, 2027. The event is listed under Concerts and Comedy on southaventickets.com. Prices currently start around $40–$150; availability and prices may change as the event approaches.
Rife built his career through years of performing in comedy clubs before viral crowd-work clips brought him a much wider audience in 2022 and 2023. His improvisational style, observational humor, and self-deprecating stories have helped make audience interaction a defining part of his live shows.
His Netflix special Natural Selection, released in 2023, further raised his profile, while the ProbleMATTic World Tour marked his move to arena-scale performances. The supplied event information does not confirm that the Memphis date is part of that tour, so check the event listing for current show details. Rife's shows have featured rotating stand-up opening acts, though performers for this date have not been announced in the provided information.
Expect a comedy-focused evening built around personal stories, dating and relationships, and spontaneous exchanges with the crowd. FedExForum's large screens can help audiences follow arena-scale performances, while downtown Memphis places the venue near Beale Street's restaurants and music spots.
FedExForum is a downtown multipurpose arena with an approximate capacity of 18,400. Its seating levels include floor, plaza, terrace, and pinnacle sections, along with premium suites and club-level options. The exact configuration can vary by event, so consult the event seating chart before choosing seats.
For a comedy show, plaza-level seats may offer a useful balance of proximity and perspective. Floor seats put attendees closer to the stage, while upper-level sections provide a broad view of the arena; the best choice depends on the event's configuration and personal preference.
The attached Gossett Motors Parking Garage has five levels and approximately 1,500 spaces. For events other than Grizzlies and Memphis Tigers games, parking is first-come, first-served. Rates were not included in the available venue information; check current event-day signs or venue updates before arrival.
Guest and rideshare drop-off is on Fourth Street between Beale Street and Dr. M.L. King Jr. Avenue. Vehicles may not park or idle in the drop-off zone, so arrange pickup nearby rather than waiting at the entrance.
